Building around Nesekem, the Herald used to feel like a challenge for the sake of challenge. But I’m not the kind of player to give up on something just because the meta says it’s bad. So when Season 10 dropped and gave us Chaos Uniques, I saw an opportunity.
The key to making Nesekem work is accepting what it does offer, rather than what it lacks. You’re getting guaranteed crits and Overpower hits every few seconds, plus high base damage against elites. So I built a high-attack-speed Spiritborn that prioritizes Vulnerable uptime, Crit Chance, and Overpower scaling.
My current build uses:
Nesekem, the Herald (main weapon)
Loyalty’s Mantle as Chaos helm
Band of First Breath for healing utility
Wushe Nak Pa rolled as gloves
Tons of Crit/Overpower stats across Paragon
It’s not top-tier in raw DPS, but the spikes are incredible. When that mark lands on a priority target and I unload, it’s over. I’ve killed dungeon bosses in under 15 seconds with the right setup. It’s incredibly satisfying, and more importantly—it’s different. It doesn’t feel like I’m running the same Spiritborn build as everyone else.
If you’re willing to experiment, Nesekem is worth revisiting. The Chaos system gives you the flexibility to try something weird—and that’s where this Mythic finally has room to breathe.
