GuestI’ve been driving my 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero for a few years now and it’s been an absolute workhorse – never let me down whether I’m navigating city streets or heading out for a weekend desert trip. But lately, I’ve started noticing that the battery isn’t quite as punchy as it used to be. The cranking is getting noticeably slower, especially on those humid mornings, and last week the engine took a couple of extra seconds to fire up which has never happened before. I’ve been looking into replacement options and I keep hearing good things about Delkor batteries – apparently they’re well-regarded for their durability and performance in hot climates, which is obviously essential here in the UAE. The thing is, I’m based in Sharjah and I’m trying to find a workshop that stocks Delkor batteries and can do a proper installation. I’ve called a few places and some of them don’t even know what Delkor is, while others claim they can order it but can’t tell me how long it’ll take. I’m really hoping to find a Delkor battery garage in Sharjah because I don’t want to have to drive all the way to Dubai to find a supplier. I’ve heard that Delkor batteries are particularly good for SUVs and 4x4s like my Pajero, especially for people who do a bit of off-roading, which I occasionally do during the winter season. The thing is, I’m not sure which workshops in Sharjah actually stock genuine Delkor products versus just generic batteries. I want to make sure I’m getting a fresh battery that hasn’t been sitting on a shelf for years, because I’ve heard that batteries can degrade even when they’re not being used, especially in this heat. I’m also a bit concerned about the installation process – the Pajero is a pretty straightforward vehicle, but I still want to make sure the terminals are cleaned properly and the battery is securely fastened, especially with the kind of rough roads I sometimes drive on. I don’t mind paying a fair price for a quality product and proper installation, I just want to make sure I’m not being ripped off or sold something that’s not genuine. If anyone in Sharjah has recently bought a Delkor battery and can recommend a trustworthy workshop, I’d really appreciate the tip. Also, if anyone knows roughly what a Delkor battery for a Pajero should cost, that would help me know if I’m being quoted a fair price. I’m hoping to get this sorted before the weekend because I’ve got a desert trip planned and I don’t want to risk getting stranded out there. Any advice would be massively appreciated.
